I wonder what John McCain must feel when he sees that his running mate is more popular than he is?
Last night I saw a big ass SUV, driven by a tennis mom (we don't do hockey much in GA). On the back windows was painted "A Mom for Palin."
Ouch. Where's McCain?
And today, I followed a truck with a Sarah! bumper sticker on its red ass. (see the blurry picture to the left) Underneath the SARAH! is a teeny tiny johnmccain.com

Saw that bumper sticker last week while on my way back from the tundra. It had Sarah! in big letters and in little letters underneath it said McCain-Palin. What does it say when #2 gets people more excited than #1?? To me it says neither one is worth voting for.
This is nothing but good news. Thanks, I needed cheering up.

Everytime I see a Grampy McSame bumper sticker the scene from Fried Green Tomatoes comes to mind, where she hits the girl in the parking lot stating with age comes more insurance. I also want to rear end them!

Susan, sorry to disapppoint, but...
here's my routine as I try to avoid the incessant talking heads but cognizant of the politics of the good old USA and not become as stupid as Palin in the affairs of state...I mean someone might ask me to be VP someday.... (I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this point)...I keep trying to creep past the TV, eyes closed to slits, ears listening to my whispered swearing and then I think I really should be paying more attention so then I watch something "sensible" like BBC or PBS but still get more depressed and I don't need to be MORE mental than I already am...at least I know I don't want any Sarah stickers on my butt-now that's sick... just somebody tell me, are we all going to hell in the proverbial handbad(sow's ear) or are we already there?
NO...wait...the debate tomorrow...now that should be good for days and days of humor and thanksgiving ... if Sarah Plain and Tall comes out of that one smelling like a blue rose, I may have to move to .... umm...Provence, unless they have nuclear power plants nearby....or upset Muslims who hate blond Americans...(thinking they have both)

So, I've never commented on your posts before, but I've been reading for about a year now. I watched the VP Debate last night, and as I was looking through the news online after, I found an article that reminded me of this post of yours..I just had to share..hope you don't mind

Though she initially transformed the race with her energizing presence and a fiery convention speech, Palin is now a much less positive force: Six in 10 voters see her as lacking the experience to be an effective president, and a third are now less likely to vote for McCain because of her.
Later in the article:
Palin now repels more independents than she attracts to McCain. The share of independent women less apt to support McCain because of the Palin pick has more than doubled to 34 percent, while the percentage more inclined to support him is down eight points.
And yet some more:
The history of vice presidential picks suggests they are rarely consequential, and in a July Post-ABC poll, the nominees' choice for No. 2 was last on a list of 17 items voters said might sway their decisions.
The reaction to Palin, however, has been uncharacteristically strong.
