Bend me, shape me

Sure, something like this could be created for any candidate who has gone through a contested primary race,  but the underlying theme of shape-shifting is undeniable. I don't think any of us know what we're going to get with a President Romney.

And now, of course, half these characters are flip-flopping, too, as they are out there talking up Gov. Romney as their guy.

Good thing principles are only for the little people.

  1. Used to be you could vote for the person that said the opposite of what you wanted, 'cause as soon as they got in office they'd flip. Now they're like whirling dervishes, they change as soon as they face the next crowd of people.

The thing that gets me is that someone will tell a bold-faced lie and continue to tell it even after being told numerous times that they are lying. (We ain't going to let fact-checkers run our campaign!!)

The word verification thingy is getting harder to make out. Hopefully I'll see it better once I have my cataracts pulled, but I doubt it.

  2. Romney is the most brazen liar I've seen in politics - and that's saying a lot. Makes Nixon look like a Boy Scout!

    1. That's the one thing I'll never forgive the current party for, they are making Nixon look good and I didn't think that was possible??

  3. Ok, I am out of radio silence imposed by a certain windy storm that blew through here, just need to pipe in once (I keep saying that, and yet....), but really? I sometimes think people on the left have more reason to be upset with Obama's policies than we on the right do...since it is simply staggering the number of campaign promises and policy proposals he's gone back on since being elected (and many of which miraculously look like a certain previous President's policies:
Gitmo, no SuperPAC's, eliminating the Bush tax cuts (shouldn't they be called the Obama tax cuts now?), comprehensive immigration reform, no healthcare mandate, no lobbyists working in WH, only use public financing for his campaign....need I continue?

  4. That clip is a freakin' miracle - all of those Republicans telling the truth, and ME AGREEING WITH THEM!!! (...though I bet they've flip-flopped by now...)

Plus, this post was short enough for my compromised reading ability to get through and digest!

  5. Boy with the news lately, I would think you guys are staring to miss George Bush....or maybe you're wondering if he ever left

    1. You'd be right about thinking he never left, Jonah. Missing him? Not so much. I think that's why I've stopped paying attention. Same old, same old. Until we get the money out of politics, we're never going to see much in the way of government for the people, by the people.
